Kinesiology

*Due to funding difficulties we are unable to offer this therapy at present*

Kinesiology (from the Greek words "Kinein", to move and "logos" to study) is the scientific study of movement.

Kinesiology is used to balance the body's energy.  Energy imbalances can be caused by poor posture or emotional stress such as ongoing family problems or nutritional sensitivities or deficiencies, for example.

During the session the therapist will assess the body's response to a particular stimulus by locking and unlocking the client's arm muscle to determine the most effective correction to rebalance the body.  Some corrections may require that clients do some work themselves, for example avoid or restrict consumption of a particular food or drink, eat more of a certain food, drink water or use emotional stress release techniques.

Kinesiology can help to increse energy and vitatlity, identify food and environmental sensitivities and discover individual nutritional needs.  It can also be used to treat fear, phobias and emotional and chemical inbalances in the body.

A treatment lasts approximately 1 - 11/2 hours with the client remaining fully clothed.
